Wow! Since I last posted, the Fantastic F boat won the San Diego Crew Classic, Lydia and I raced the pair at Southwest Regionals, Liz and I raced the pair at Lake Merritt (and went swimming thanks to me!).But the most amazing thing that happened was our long-planned trip to Yosemite to hike Half Dome. Liz Hart and I started talking about it a year ago, and Erin and Kim made it happen. It was an experience of profound physical challenge, friendship and support, peace.
The most important part of the weekend for me was the awesome sense of connectedness...with Mother Earth, with friends, with a common goal. I came away from the weekend asking myself "what can the church learn from this experience of community?"
