Bishop Gene Robinson and Inauguration Day

I have been moved to tears twice in the past three days. Once reading excerpts of Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream speech, and once while reading this writing of Gene Robinson's. I am praying for our country, for Barack Obama as he takes up his work as President.As we discussed at Eucharist on Thursday, the long and venerable tradition of reading sermons, reading the distinguished words of another, seems so very appropriate at this moment in history. I can hardly wait to celebrate Martin Luther King Day and the inauguration of our new President!
