Attitude

Today was one of those days when things could have gone badly at practice: there we were, rowing in the dark at 6 a.m., with no cox box (wire was broken) and our coach calling instructions over the launch engine noise. The coxswain had to use hand signals, not the best method of communication. And I was stroking (yea!) again. It could have been a disaster of a day.

But they didn't go badly, they went super well, because all nine people in the boat kept a positive attitude. We had a GREAT row - the boat was set like a rock, people worked hard right to the end of practice, and we had a fun time too.

Attitude. It makes all the difference in whether we work together or fight each other.
